Media & Visual Archive
A photographic record of Manmohan Samal in public life. Every image is presented complete — uncropped, undistorted, at its own proportions — and captioned only with what can be established about it.

How these photographs are handled
Every photograph here is displayed at its own aspect ratio, inside a frame sized to the image rather than the other way round. Nothing is cropped to fit a grid, nothing is stretched, and no face is cut by the edge of a container. That is a deliberate constraint on the design of this website, and it is why the archive is laid out as a column mosaic rather than a uniform tile grid.
Captions state what is visible. Where a person other than Manmohan Samal can be identified reliably, they are named; where they cannot, the caption says so instead of guessing. Where the occasion or date of a photograph is not established by its source, that too is stated rather than supplied.
